1592 Mathieu (1951 LA) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on June 1, 1951 by S. Arend at Uccle.
Photometric observations of this asteroid collected during 2006 show a rotation period of 14.23 ± 0.02 hours with a brightness variation of 0.50 ± 0.02 magnitude.[1]
