- 1230 - Santa Maria della Spina, Pisa, Italy built[1]
- 1234 - Aqsab Mosque, Damascus, Syria built.[citation needed]
- 1234 - Saint-Martin Church, Colmar is begun[2]
- about 1235 - Saint-Léger of Guebwiller in the Holy Roman Empire is completed[3]
- 1235 - Limburg Cathedral in the Holy Roman Empire is consecrated[4]
- 1235 - Great Hall of Winchester Castle completed to a "double cube" design.[5]
- 1238 - Construction of the Alhambra in Grenada begins.[6] It is said that each sovereign of the dynasty of the Nasrides brought a stone to the edifice. By the end of the Reconquista in 1492, the latest refinements to the palace had been completed.
