6726 Suthers

(6726) Suthers is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Henry E. Holt at the Palomar Observatory in San Diego County, California, on August 5, 1991, provisional designation was 1991 PS. In 2012, it was officially named after Paul Sutherland, an author and journalist who has actively supported the UK-based Society for Popular Astronomy for many years, and who is known as Suthers to friends and colleagues. He is author of Where Did Pluto Go? and runs the Skymania News website.
