ǃNamiǂNûs Constituency

ǃNamiǂNûs, until 2013 Lüderitz, is a constituency in the ǁKaras Region of Namibia. In 2004, It had a population of 13,276.[1] It contains the major city of Lüderitz, after which the constituency was originally named. In 2013 the constituency was renamed ǃNamiǂNûs because this is the original area name. The town of Lüderitz was not renamed to ǃNamiǂNûs.[2]

Politics

In the 2010 regional elections, SWAPO's Jan Albertus Scholtz won the constituency with 3,526 votes. His only challenger was Phyllicia Maree’ Hercules of the Rally for Democracy and Progress, who received 559 votes.[3]
