Žatec is a village and municipality (obec) in Jihlava District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 3.16 square kilometres (1.22 sq mi), and has a population of 107 (as at 3 July 2006).
Žatec lies approximately 23 kilometres (14 mi) south of Jihlava and 126 km (78 mi) south-east of Prague.
