Żernica [ʐɛrˈnit͡sa] (former German Zernitz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Pilchowice, within Gliwice County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south-west of Gliwice and 29 km (18 mi) west of the regional capital Katowice.
The village has a population of 2,549.
