Šumvald is a village and municipality (obec) in Olomouc District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 20.98 square kilometres (8.10 sq mi), and has a population of 1,751 (as at 3 July 2006).
Šumvald lies approximately 29 kilometres (18 mi) north of Olomouc and 197 km (122 mi) east of Prague.
