Šumice is a village and municipality (obec) in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 8.63 square kilometres (3.33 sq mi), and has a population of 229 (as at 2 October 2006).
Šumice lies approximately 89 kilometres (55 mi) north of Brno and 145 km (90 mi) east of Prague.
