Šmarna Gora is the highest hill in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
It is located in the northern part of Ljubljana. The hill has two peaks Šmarna Gora 669 metres (2,195 ft) and Grmada reaching 676 metres (2,218 ft). Because of the location and view it has become a popular hiking destination. On good weather conditions it is possible to see Triglav, Stol and in the southern directions Krim, Snežnik, Trdinov vrh. Nearby hills are Golo brdo, Toško Čelo, Rožnik, and Rašica.
The southern side of the hill has trees such as Quercus pubescens and Ostrya carpinifolia. The hill belongs to the city district Šmarna Gora.
