Šentvid pri Lukovici (German: Sankt Veit)[2] is a settlement in the Municipality of Lukovica in the eastern part of the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.[3]

Name

The name of the settlement was changed from Šent Vid to Šentvid pri Lukovici in 1955.[4] The settlement gets its name from the local church, dedicated to Saint Vitus (Slovene: sveti Vid). In the 19th century the German name was Sankt Veit.[2]
