İskele District

İskele District is a district of Northern Cyprus. It is divided into three sub-districts: İskele Sub-district, Mehmetçik Sub-district and Yeni Erenköy Sub-district.[1] Its capital is Trikomo, also known by its Turkish name, İskele. Its population was 21,099 in 2006.[1] Its kaymakam (sub-governor) is Bünyamin Merhametsiz.[2]
The district has been separated from Gazimağusa District in 1998.
