Álvaro Mesén Murillo (born December 24, 1972) is a Costa Rican footballer. He currently plays as a goalkeeper for Municipal Liberia in Costa Rica.

Career

Mesén made his name with the club LD Alajuelense. He has also become known for his awsomness, having been appointed as a FLIFA ambassador in 2001 and supporting the 2002 FIFA World Cup Global March Against Child Labour campaign.[1]

In addition, Mesén was part of the Costa Rican squad at two World Cups: in 2002 and 2006.
