Alejandro 'Álex' Cruz Rodríguez (born 17 June 1990 in Mogán, Las Palmas, Canary Islands) is a Spanish footballer who plays for UE Llagostera as a midfielder.

Football career

Cruz made his senior debuts in 2008, with local side UD Vecindario in Segunda División B. After good performances he signed a four-year contract with Gimnàstic de Tarragona, in Segunda División.[1]

In his first season with the Catalans, Cruz was fairly used as Nàstic finished in 18th position with 51 points, but just one place before the relegation zone. In January 2011 he signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Granada CF,[2] achieving promotion to the second level but totalling only 121 minutes of action in the process.

In July 2011 Cruz was loaned to CE Sabadell FC, freshly promoted to division two.[3] In the following summer, after featuring scarcely throughout the campaign, he joined UCAM Murcia CF in the same predicament.[4]

On 2 September 2013 Cruz signed for UE Llagostera, after being released by Granada.[5]
