Željne (German: Seele) is a village to the northeast of the town of Kočevje in southern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to Saint Lawrence and belongs to the Kočevje parish. It was a 16th century building, rebuilt after it was damaged by fire in 1888.[3]
