Šemnik is a settlement to the south of Izlake in the Zagorje ob Savi municipality in central Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Upper Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Zasavje statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to Saint Anne and belongs to the Izlake parish. It is a Gothic building that was restyled in the Baroque in the mid 18th century.[3]
