The National Theatre of Iceland (Icelandic: Þjóðleikhúsið, pronounced [ˈθjou̯ːðlɛi̯kˌhuːsɪð]) in Reykjavík, is the national theatre of Iceland.
The theater, designed by Guðjón Samúelsson, was formally opened on April 20, 1950. Tinna Gunnlaugsdóttir has been Artistic Director of the theater since 2005.
