iLounge (formerly iPodlounge) is an independent website covering all things related to Apple's iPod, iPhone, iPad and the related iTunes software. Founded by Dennis Lloyd in the days after Apple released their first generation iPod on October 23, 2001, iLounge is a popular source of iPod, iPhone and iPad information, assistance, news, and discussion. The website is updated regularly with news, reviews, articles, previews, and tutorials.

A Reviews section includes comprehensive reviews on a wide range of iPod, iPhone and iPad accessories, from speakers and docks to cables and cases. Reviews of iPod/iPhone/iPad apps and games are also included.
The first forum originally started when the first site opened and is still available to peruse through a link on the main forum page. The forums, which run a customized version of vBulletin, generate about 5 million page views while the main site generates over 15 million page views per month. As of December, 2009 the site's forum is home to over 180,000 unique users.
The "iLounge Galleries" offer a spot for iPod/iPhone/iPad users to upload their photos. One particular album is the "iPhones Around the World" gallery in which iPhone-related photos taken in all seven continents, from the Americas, to Europe and Asia, Africa, and even Antarctica, are uploaded for other iLoungers to view. Currently, the iLounge Galleries boast over 7000 photos and images.
Tutorials, are intended to teach iPod, iPhone & iPad owners how to fully take advantage of their device by showing them such things as adding album art to music tracks in iTunes or how to use the iPod as a hard disk.
Each year, iLounge publishes two free electronic books: The Free iPod, iPhone & iPad Book published each spring covers all things iTunes, iPod, iPhone and Apple TV with a comprehensive set of tutorials, tips, tricks and product previews. The iLounge Buyers' Guide published each fall offers authoritative looks at every iPod and iPhone model past and present, plus their top accessories and software, designed to help both current and prospective users with holiday and post-holiday purchases. Each edition of these publications frequently exceeds one million downloads. Current and previous editions can be found in The iLounge Library
The website also includes, "iLounge Backstage", a blog put together by the editors at iLounge in which they discuss other non-iPod/iPhone/iPad gadgets and behind-the-scenes industry trends and "Ask iLounge", a weekly question/answer session with readers. Since the opening of the iTunes App Store in July 2008, a new feature series "iPhone Gems" explores the best and worst of the iPhone applications.
