ex:el is an album by electronic music group 808 State which reached #4 in the UK Albums Chart on its release in 1991 and features the UK Top 40 singles "Cubik" - #10 in November 1990, "In Yer Face" - #9 in February 1991 and "Lift" - #38 in August 1991.
The album also features the guest vocals of Bernard Sumner of Joy Division and New Order fame, who sang on "Spanish Heart". In addition, Björk sang on "Qmart" and "Ooops", and is credited with co-writing the two songs.
