Zoobles

Zoobles are a line of toys released in fall 2010 by Spin Master. They consist of a wide variety of sphere shaped characters that roll up into a ball to travel from place to place. Each Zoobles lives in a unique Happitat. Once a Zooble comes in contact with the ‘hot spot’ on its Happitat, it pops open transforming into a unique character. The Happitat acts as an activation point to make Zoobles “spring to life” and also houses them for when they sleep at night. Each Happitat is unique to the particular Zooble who occupies it, but functions universally for all Zoobles.

Zoobles have multiple points of articulation for playability, and even blink their eyes while you pet them. Each one possesses a unique set of characteristics based on their individual personality and location within Zooble Isle. To distinguish each Zooble (aside from visual differences) they have all been individually named and numbered so children are able to keep an inventory of their collection.

An animated TV show based on the toys began airing on Korean broadcaster SBS in May 2011.[1]

Zoobles Isle

Zooble Isle is divided into 6 main regions including: Petagonia, Azoozia, Petal Point, Chillville, Pinegrove, and Seagonia. From each name you can generally infer the type of Zoobles that can be found within its region. Though currently there are only 6, you can expect to discover 6 new regions every year as Zooble Isle expands.

Petagonia – Petagonia acts as a home for all Zooble pets such as dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, birds and mice. When exploring Petagonia you can expect to encounter a number of singing birds and brightly colored flowers. It is rumored that though the Zoobles of Petagonia are small, they have a big knack for adventure.

Azoozia – Known as home for the party animals of Zooble Isle, Azoozia is the territory that encourages people to let their adventurous side run wild. When exploring Azoozia you can expect to encounter monkeys, elephants, giraffes, pandas, zebras, or lions among other wild animals. Geographically it is one of the most diverse regions possessing magnificent waterfalls and rich plant life.

Seagonia – According to Zooble mythology you can “soak in the silliness” while exploring its number of underwater Happitats. Some of the ocean creatures you might see are crabs, starfish, octopus, whales, fish, seals and seahorses to name a few.

Zooble Variations

Though Zoobles all possess the same primary function, Spin Master has adapted and released several variations.

Twobles: A double pack version of the standard Zooble. Two Zoobles use one dual Happitat for activation and sleep. Twobles exist in every region of Zooble Isle.

Dee-lights: These Zoobles light up and provide a glow with their unique Happitat.

Special Edition: Special Edition Zoobles are embellished with gems, flocking and other special decorations. They are far more decorative than the standard Zooble and come with Deluxe Happitats.

Hair-doobles: These zoobles have removable hair extensions
