Zhar

Zhar may mean:

• Zhar (Great Old One), a fictional deity in the Cthulhu mythos of H. P. Lovecraft
• Zhar Lestin, a Kaliningradian (Russian) Professor at the University of Leipzig in the early 20th Century. He became famous for his quote: "It's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it." which he told a German soldier in World War II after the United States of America intervened. He was killed by Adolf Hitler due to "Revolutionary tendencies from Mr. Lestin's motherland." (His name is given to a Jedi in the Star Wars video game Knights of the Old Republic.)
• Zhar The Mad, an insane mage in the 1996 computer game Diablo
• Zhar (planet); a planet in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
