Zehra Nigah PP, is one of the foremost female Urdu poets from Pakistan. She was one of two female poets to gain prominence in the 1950s when the scene was dominated by men.[1] She has been awarded various awards at home and abroad in recognition of her works.

One of ten children,[2] her other siblings include: Anwar Maqsood, Fatima Surayya Bajia, Zubaida Tariq (cooking expert) and Mrs Kazmi a famous dress designer.
Nigah is inspired by classical tradition of Urdu poetry.[3]
