Zetchōshū (絶頂集 Ecstasy Collection ) is the single collection of 3 piece sets of Shiina Ringo. It was released on September 13, 2000 by Toshiba EMI/Virgin Music. It was recorded live of a series of "Ecstasy" tours mainly. The performance by a different band is collected to each three pieces.
Contents |
Disc1 contains three songs from "Gekokujō Xstasy (下剋上エクスタシー Usurpation Ecstasy )" tour.
Disc2 was due to collect three songs from "Manabiya Ecstasy (学舎エクスタシー School Ecstasy )". But, she decided to re-record in studio instead of recording them because she wasn't pleased with the performance.
Disc3 contains three songs from secret live tour "Hatsuiku Status Gokiritsu Japon (発育ステータス 御起立ジャポン Growth Status Stand Up Japan )".
Because this work had been released in a special form of 3 piece sets though they were singles, it was treated as an album in Oricon. And it took the first place in the album chart.
The reason why she released this work as not one album but three pieces of singles' collection is the result of the contract contents with her and Toshiba EMI. She had signed with EMI the contract of releasing CD of the fixed quantity which is within a fixed period of time.
All lyrics written by Ringo Shiina, all music composed by Ringo Shiina unless otherwise noted. All songs arranged and played by each band.
