Zákupy (Czech pronunciation: [ˈzaːkupɪ]; German: Reichstadt, originally Richinstat) is a town in the Česká Lípa District, Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. The number of inhabitants is 2,642.
The earliest preserved document where the city appears is from 1306.
In 1818 Napoleon II, the son of Napoleon Bonaparte, was awarded the title Duke of Reichstadt by his grandfather Franz I of Austria. Russia's Chancellor Alexander Gorchakov and Austria's Emperor Franz Joseph I reached the Reichstadt Agreement on partition of the Balkans at the local castle in 1876. Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg were married there in 1900.
