Zaain Ul Abideen (Urdu: زين العابدين, born Zaain Ul Abideen; 20 June 1986 in Karachi, Pakistan) is a Pakistani pop singer. He is widely recognized in South Asia and has sung mega hits songs like Chue Chue & Pooch Mera Kya Naam. His voice is described as powerful & melodic and tugs at the heart strings. Early life and education

He studied at University of Karachi, Karachi where he completed his Bachelors of Commerce degree. He has won several singing competition. He was brought up in a household where religious hymns were recited, Zaain broke off the traditional path and chose an uncertain career in music. But against all odds he soon made it. He doesn't have any formal training. He has been listening to RD Burman, Madan Mohan, Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar, A. R. Rahman and all these legends. According to Zaain their songs were not just songs they were ultimate music Lesson. He had been listening to them since his childhood and learnt a lot from their songs. He was brought under senior supervision of some great musicians like Shani Haider, Shuja Haider, Vicky, Ali Haider, Javed Bashir, Shehzad Roy, Ali Zafar they were his friends. He learned a lot from them. They used to teach vocals techniques and music. So he call them his mentor and consider himself a trained singer.

Music career

In the year 2006 he released Audio of his first single "Saiyaan Saiyaan" on radio from where it scooped up positive responses. His first break came with “Chue Chue”, a hit single, which received immediate success. His song Chue Chue topped the Pakistan music charts for nine weeks and Jang news quoted "Chue Chue" as the most downloaded song. Zaain released his first solo album, Zeal on 27 December 2010, under Iron Records. Its promoters declared it to be the best-selling album of that year within just 2 months of its release. Besides his native country, he also became popular in United Kingdom, America, where people play his songs in their cars, shops and in Clubs.

His first major concert was at Expo Center, Karachi where he performed with Atif Aslam, Karavan. On 14 August 2009, Zaain performed in Carlton Hotel. His first international concert was "Tribute to Mohammed Rafi" was tour of Dubai, Colombo and Kandy. He has performed in over 200 concerts and gigs.

Jingles/Voice-overs

He has also done jingles & voice over for various major brands including Talkshawk, Tapal, Djuice, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Ufone, Fanta, Atlas Bank, Lifebuoy, Peek-Freans and others. He has also sang title tracks for various television dramas.

Radio jockey

Apart from singing, Zaain also hosts four radio shows at FM 105, which assembles a huge audience.

Bol

In October 2009, Shoaib Mansoor contacted Zaain, Shoaib was considering Zaain's in his movie Bol. He accepted Shoaib Mansoor's offer but could not lend his songs due to some personal reasons.
