YouthKiAwaaz.com (Youth Ki Awaaz) is an Indian English-language, youth run news and views blog founded in 2008 with focus on Politics, Society, Environment and more issues. An emerging views platform [1] YouthKiAwaaz.com also runs an online journalism internship program.[2] It has emerged as one of India's most read youth platforms.[3]

The platform was started due to the huge gap between the mainline media and views of young people in India, and there was no way that a youngster could express himself/herself easily on issues that matter.[4]

The main motive of the platform is to engage young people in ethical journalism and provide a platform for free expression of young voices - combining journalism with technology.[5]

YouthKiAwaaz.com has often been quoted in the mainline media for its election coverage and reports on voting behavior.[6]

In 2010, the platform won the World Summit Youth Award for best practices in e-content.[7] In 2011, it was recognized as a Champion of Social Transformation in the field of youth empowerment by the Bahá'í House of Worship in New Delhi, India.[8] Much of the audience to the website is between the age group 18-24 [9]

The blog was launched by citizen media activist, journalist and social media expert [10], Anshul Tewari, in 2008.[11]
