Yafit (Hebrew: יַפִית, lit. Beautiful) is a moshav shitufi and Israeli settlement in the West Bank. Located in the Jordan Valley near Alexandrium, it falls under the jurisdiction of Bik'at HaYarden Regional Council. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.[1]
Yafit was established in 1980 by immigrants from France, and was named after Yossi Yafa, an IDF commander. In 1992 the founders were joined by more immigrants from Russia. In 2006 it had a population of 104.
