YOtel
Yotel is a YO! Company hotel brand with hotels at airports founded by Simon Woodroffe and Gerard Greene.[1] Its rooms are larger than those in capsule hotels but are very small relative to traditional hotel rooms.[2] Room sizes are Premium (double), Twin (2 large singles, bunk style) and Standard (large single). Each features en suite bathrooms, flat screen televisions, free Wi-Fi, and 24 hour room service.[3]
IFA (International Financial Advisors) Hotels & Resorts is a major investor in YOTEL.[4][5][6].

History
In 2002, Simon Woodroffe, Chairman and Founder of YO! Company[6], saw Japanese capsule hotels, which were the inspiration for YOtel. The first YOtel was opened in 2007 at London's Gatwick and Heathrow airports,[13] with 50 and 40 "pods" at each, respectively.[14] In 2009, YOtel opened a branch at Amsterdam Schiphol airport[15] and the company the Business Accommodation of the Year award at the Business Travel World Awards.[12][16][1]
Gerard Greene, the CEO of YOtel, signed a "Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)" with Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) in 2008, in order to facilitate YOtel's expansion into Abu Dhabi. It is planned for at least two facilities to be built in Abu Dhabi.[6][17]
On June 13, 2011, YOtel will officially open [6][12] a New York City Times Square branch at 570 10th Ave, 10036 [18] as a part of the $300 Million MiMA complex [4] which includes residential units. Frank Gehry designed the Signature Theatre. Rockwell Group and Softroom designed the 669 rooms[19][20] sized at 16 square metres (170 sq ft) each[21]. June 7, 2011 commences bookings and service [22]. The property includes chef Richard Sandoval's sumo wrestling-themed restaurant, Dohyo[23], and a multi-bar 4,000 square feet (370 m2) balcony, Terrace [24].
