Xuzhou Guanyin Airport (simplified Chinese: 徐州观音机场; traditional Chinese: 徐州觀音機場; pinyin: Xúzhōu Guānyīn Jīchǎng), (IATA: XUZ, ICAO: ZSXZ) is located in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China, over 45km from the downtown area in the southeast outskirts of the city.
Xuzhou airport was opened on November 8th, 1997 [1] with 20,000 sq.m. terminal building and 3,400m runway. Its construction cost was estimated $105 million, with most of the cost provided by the Xuzhou municipal government. [2]
In 2007 it handled 414,057 passengers, up 38 percent from the previous year, ranking 59th place in the People's Republic of China [3].
