Xu Bo (Chinese: 许博; born May 18, 1985 in Liaoning) is a Chinese footballer currently playing for Changsha Ginde as a versatile midfielder or defender in the Chinese Super League.
Born in Liaoning Xu Bo would begin his professional football career with one of the local football teams within the Province, Shenyang Ginde and would make his league debut on September 11, 2004 against Chongqing Lifan in a 1-0 defeat.[1] After he made his debut he would often be used sparingly as a versatile substitute who could play in numerous defensive positions throughout the rest of the season. The next season saw him settle within the teams midfield and even go on to score his first league goal against Inter Shanghai on April 17, 2005 in a 2-1 defeat.[2] For the next several seasons he would be an integral member of the team and was part of the squad that moved to Changsha while the club renamed themselves Changsha Ginde.
