Wisconsin Point is a peninsula off the shore of Superior, Wisconsin, in Douglas County, Wisconsin. It is 3 miles in length. The Wisconsin Point Lighthouse was built in 1913 and is located on the end of the peninsula. It is owned and maintained by the city of Superior.[1][2] Other notable features of Wisconsin Point include a Native American burial ground, extensive beaches and vistas of the city of Duluth, Minnesota, and a diverse forest and lagoon ecosystem. It is well known as a hotspot for birding during the Spring and Fall migrations, where ducks, shorebirds, gulls, hawks, and numerous songbirds such as warblers, finches, and sparrows can be seen.[3]
