William A. Feilds[N 1] (born c.1846–1852, died September 9, 1898) was an African American legislator in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He served as a Republican for one term from 1885 to 1886.[1] According to researchers on the American documentary series Who Do You Think You Are? (2011), he is the great-great-grandfather of recording artist and actress Vanessa L. Williams.[2]
