Willard Gaylin

Willard Gaylin is an American psychiatrist and bioethicist. Along with Daniel Callahan, Gaylin founded The Hastings Center in 1969. He has served as a professor of psychiatry at Columbia Medical School, a professor of psychiatry and law at Columbia Law School, and an adjunct professor at Union Theological Seminary.[1]

Gaylin received his B.A. from Harvard College and his M.D. from Case Western Reserve University.

Gaylin was a featured panelist in the 10 part series Ethics In America from 1987.

Willard Gaylin's work is also featured in the film Gattaca during the opening credits. He is quoted: "I not only think that we will tamper with Mother Nature, I think Mother wants us to."
