Whitstone School is a specialist school located in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, England, which educates students aged between 11 and 16. The school has been a specialist Technology College since 2000 and as of September 2010 the school's headteacher is Gillian Rennard.[2] In August 2011, the school became an academy.
Current enrolment is 645 students. In 2004, approximately 98% were White, the remainder were Asian, Asian British or Afro-Caribbean.[3]
The school has a strong partnership with Okuapemman School, in Apropong, Ghana. Okuapemman has approximately 1,400 pupils.
The school's cricket ground is used by Shepton Mallet Cricket Club.[4]
