Whiteabbey railway station serves Whiteabbey in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. The station opened on 11 April 1848.[1] It is the first station outside Belfast on the Larne Line.

After Whiteabbey, the next station on the line used to be Bleach Green, but this was closed in May 1977.[2]

Service

From Monday to Friday, there is a half-hourly Larne Line service, with the outbound train termini alternating between Carrickfergus and Larne Harbour. All inbound trains terminate at Belfast Central, except for some peak services which continue through to Great Victoria Street. The Saturday service is largely similar, except that the Larne Line services all operate to and from Great Victoria Street rather than Belfast Central. Sunday sees an hourly Larne Line service in each direction operating from Great Victoria Street to Larne Harbour and back.

Although technically on the Belfast-Derry railway line, Whiteabbey only sees two weekday morning services from Portrush calling during the week. There are no other Belfast-Derry Line services calling at Whiteabbey.
