White Glacier (Mount Tom)
White Glacier is a medium-sized glacier located to the northeast of Mount Tom in the Olympic Mountains and Olympic National Park, Washington state, United States. The glacier, located in between Mount Tom and Mount Olympus, starts at around 7,000 and 6,400 feet (2,100 and 2,000 m).[1] The westernmost section of White Glacier is partially separated from the rest of the glacier by several small ridges of rock and it flows straight north.[2] The rest of the glacier flows north as well, but as its glacier toe descends to around 4,800 feet (1,500 m), the toe turns northeast.[1] The toe heads continues northeast until its terminus at 4,400 feet (1,300 m). The glacier also contains a relatively flat, northward sloping ranging in elevation from 6,000 to 5,400 feet (1,800–1,600 m).[1]
