In the movie Toy Story 2, the song is used as a background music in a flashback sequence explaining the past history of Jessie. As the song plays, the audience see that Jessie once had an owner named Emily that loved her like Andy loved Woody. As Emily grew older, she lost interest in toys and became interested in 'grown-up things' like make-up to play with, forgetting all about Jessie. Years later, Emily found Jessie under the bed and spent one last day with her on a car trip, only to place her in a charity box.
This song was nominated at the Oscars in 2000 for Best Song, though the award went to Phil Collins for "You'll Be in My Heart" from another Disney animated film Tarzan.
"When She Loved Me" is a song by actress and singer Bridgit Mendler that was from the soundtrack Disneymania 7. The soundtrack was released on March 9, 2010.
