Whelp
The term Whelp can refer to:
- A Whelp: a young, carnivorous mammal, essentially one that is still dependent on its parent(s) for food, care and/or protection. The term can refer to any mammal, however most commonly refers to a puppy.[1]
- Whelping: the act of a carnivorous mammal, usually a dog, preparing to give birth, going into labor, and finally birthing pups.[2]
- HMS Whelp: the name of one ship of the Royal Navy and of another which was planned but cancelled
