Wetworld

Wetworld is a BBC Books original novel written by Mark Michalowski and based on the long-running science fiction television series Doctor Who. It features the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones. It was published on 9 September 2007, alongside Forever Autumn and Sick Building.

Continuity

• References were made to previous stories "42" and "The Family of Blood". This means that this story is placed chronologically after the two stories.
• At one point Ty mentions the Krynoid, a parasitic plant-based alien from The Seeds of Doom.
• In the episode "Silence in the Library", the Doctor mentions to Donna Noble that he never lands on Sundays, because he finds them boring. Given the nature of this spin-off novel, it may be possible that he was in fact euphemistically referencing the planet Sunday and its dangers.

Outside references

• There were several references to Breakfast At Tiffany's.
• References to Little House on the Prairie.

Audiobook

An abridged audiobook was released in March 2008. It is read by Freema Agyeman, who plays Martha Jones.
