Weslaco Independent School District is a school district headquartered in Weslaco, Texas (USA). WISD serves the city of Weslaco, a western portion of the city of Mercedes, and several unincorporated communities in Hidalgo County.

In 2009, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency.[1] Weslaco ISD's total student enrollment for 2010 was 17,279 according to the Texas Education Agency's website. Weslaco ISD's current superintendent is Dr. Richard Rivera.
