Werner Richter (21 October 1893 – 3 June 1944) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Werner Richter was wounded on 21 May 1944 and died on 3 June 1944.
