Werauhia is a genus of the botanical family Bromeliaceae, subfamily Tillandsioideae. The genus name is for Werner Rauh, German botanist (1913-2000).[1] Based on molecular evidence, a number of species previously classified within other bromeliad genera, especially Vriesia and Tillandsia, have been placed in Werauhia instead.
