Weatherbox was signed to Doghouse Records, on which they released their debut album American Art on May 8, 2007 and is now signed to Youth Conspiracy Records, which will release a new six-song album and "American Art" on vinyl . American Art was recorded when the band consisted of Warren, Deriso, Hill and Longfield.
Weatherbox had plans for a split 7" with the band Person L. The two Weatherbox tracks on the record would have been "They're Ready For Us To Come Home" and "I'm Ready For You To Come Back (acoustic)." The split was to be put out by Doghouse Records and ECA Records.
The release date of "The Cosmic Drama" was pushed back to September due to some confusion between Weatherbox, the mastering editors, and Doghouse Records. The digital download release date was September 8, 2009, and the LP set was released September 22, 2009.
Warren told an interviewer that members of Japandi are heard on the album "Cosmic Drama".[1]
They have since then come out with the Cristpuncher EP available on bandcamp.
Weatherbox is currently in the process of recording their third album which is untitled at the moment.
The band will release Follow the Rattle of the Afghan Guitar on October 4th. The EP will be vinyl-only, released on Youth Conspiracy Records, and will contain the two tracks from the Christpuncher 7".

In the past, the band has included bassist Ryan Hill, guitarist Lowell Heflin (from Lanterns and Panic In The Streets), drummer Justin Greene, drummer Marc Deriso (ex-Mister Valentine), guitarist/vocalist Gabe Rodriguez, and guitarist/vocalist Mike Longfield. Although Weatherbox is a full band, Warren's solo work is also referred to as, and has been released under the name of, Weatherbox.
After a series of bulletins from the band's myspace,[3] it seems apparent that Brian Warren is the only member of the band remaining, which he refers to as "The Cosmic Drama" - a title fitting for the album.
Weatherbox continued to play live shows with a revolving cast of musicians that so far have included members of Japandi and Doghouse labelmates, Mansions.
