Waraseoni is a small town and a municipality in Balaghat district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census[1], Waraseoni had a population of 22,966. Males constitute 51% and females 49% of the population. Waraseoni has an average literacy rate of 76%, which is much higher than the national average of 59.5%. Male literacy is 82% and female literacy is 70%. In Waraseoni, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

The only language spoken is Hindi. Other dialects of Hindi are also spoken in some parts of Waraseoni. Pure Hindi is used in the city area of Waraseoni. People have also started speaking English. However, there is a long way to go. A large number of ladies join English speaking courses. Awareness among the ladies is growing faster than men.
