WGBJ is an FM radio station located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The station is licensed to Auburn, Indiana, and operates on the FM radio frequency of 102.3 MHz.
Programming
102.3 FM signed on in March 2001 as WEJE, taking the calls and modern rock format of the former "Extreme 96.3," which changed to a country music format (96.3 has gone through several other changes since and is now WNHT). In September 2001, the station rebranded as "X102.3," with new calls (WXTW) following shortly afterward. Following a sale from Summit City Radio Group to Three Amigos Broadcasting, WXTW adopted its Spanish format as "Mega 102.3" and call sign at Midnight on September 1, 2006, but the station itself first went on the air over five years earlier.
On September 21, 2009, WGBJ adopted the slogan "Power 102.3" and flipped from Spanish to a Top 40/CHR format. [1] This move brings another Top 40s to Ft. Wayne, IN. On February 2, 2010, the station changed on air monikers to "The Killer B102.3"
In the late hours of Saturday, April 3, 2010, WGBJ again changed formats from Top 40/CHR back to a Spanish format and started once again calling itself "Power 102.3"
