WXMS-LP (channel 27) is a television station in Jackson, Mississippi. The station began broadcasting in December, 1999 as an affiliate of both the WB and UPN networks. The WB was WXMS's primary affiliation while UPN was its secondary affiliation. On October 7, 2001, WXMS became a primary UPN affiliate after ceding its WB affiliation to sister station WDBD, which had defected from the Fox network.
