WWSP
WWSP (89.9 FM) is a student run radio station broadcasting an Alternative format. Licensed to Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA, the station is currently owned by Board of Regents, University of Wisconsin System and features programing from AP Radio.[1][2]
The station is host to a trivia contest, which is run by former teacher and longtime local radio personality named Oz, and John Eckendorf each April that serves as a fund raiser for the station and the college. The contest is the largest of its kind, drawing over 14,000 people into the city of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, which is only 25,000 people in size. Participants come to Stevens Point from all over the United States, as well as from other countries. They are also able to play remotely through the WWSP webcast, and linked online with teams by chatrooms.
