WVSB is a Classic Country formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Romney, West Virginia, serving Romney and most of Hampshire County, West Virginia. WVSB is owned and operated by West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind.

History

WVSB began in 1973, broadcasting on 88.1 FM under the call letters WJGF. In 1995, WJGF changed call letters to WVSB and frequency to 104.1 FM, but continued to carry a classic country format. Students from the West Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind operate the station. Contrary to their 100 watts, WVSB is not a low-powered station.

Also, contrary to their 100 watts, WVSB's signal does make it outside Hampshire County, at times "bleeding" into Washington, DC station WPRS's far western reaches.
