WVOB
WVOB (91.3 FM, "Gospel 91") is a radio station broadcasting a Southern Gospel format.[1] Licensed to Dothan, Alabama, USA, the station serves the Dothan area. The station is currently owned by Bethany Bible College & B.T.S. Inc.[2]
Call sign history
In the 1960s and 1970s, the call sign WVOB was assigned to a radio station broadcasting a combination of pop music and talk at 1520 AM from Bel Air, Maryland. The call sign, standing for "voice of Bel Air," was eventually replaced by WHRF, for Harford County, Maryland, of which Bel Air is the county seat. On-air talent included James "Capt'n Jim" McMahan, Bob Callahan, and Brad Ganson.
