WVLR is a television station in Knoxville, Tennessee, broadcasting locally on digital channel 48 as an affiliate of CTN and on Comcast channel 15. The station is owned by Christian Television Network and it's licensed in Tazewell. WVLR Produces many shows in their studio, as well as airs live programs. Production and Editing services are available to potential clients. On October 6, 2002 The Station signed on as an analog service for the CTN Network.
Because it was granted an original construction permit after the FCC finalized the DTV allotment plan on April 21, 1997 [1], the station did not receive a companion channel for a digital television station. Instead, at the end of the digital TV conversion, WVLR turned off its analog signal and turned on its digital signal (called a "flash-cut") since June 12, 2009.
