WVHL
WVHL is a Country formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Farmville, Virginia, serving the Southside. WVHL is owned and operated by The Farmville Herald, Inc.
History
In 2000, a series of poor management decisions were made that caused the station to lose advertising and listeners. The station flipped to a hybrid of bluegrass and classic country as "V-93" and would remain that way until early 2003. The station dropped the "V-93" nickname for "Kickin' Country" and became a currents-based country format. The station has had growing success since. It is also the official home of Longwood University's Men's Basketball broadcasts.
